STATEMENT ON THE SCOTUS RULING
The anger and disgust I’ve felt since Friday morning is just beyond. As a business owner, it’s important to me to take a stand publicly when it comes to injustice. It is incumbent upon ALL of us to ensure that every single person in this country has equal rights. Silence is not acceptable. Not discriminating against a person because of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation or religion is enshrined in our Constitution. The same Constitution that has become the servant of the court instead of the other way around.
The majority of Americans are being oppressed by a politically & religiously motivated court- the highest in the land that has a long history of honoring precedent and ruling on law and not personal feelings, religious beliefs or agendas. 5 unelected people decided Friday that, in spite of being ratified repeatedly and in spite of men’s reproductive health having no regulations, a woman’s body can be regulated should their state legislators want to. What kind of garbage is that, exactly? This situation is a reminder of the importance of elections- Federal, obviously, but also state and local. While this is a dark time for women in this country, we must remember that there will always be challenges to equality thanks to a small group of even smaller minded people. What matters is how we respond. Now, more than ever, we need to lift each other up and support each other.
Amyhelt.com will continue to be a pro-choice, pro-woman, pro-equality company, just as I have personally been my entire life. If those beliefs don’t align with yours, I don’t care. This is no time to care about pissing people off. This is the time to find a way forward and make sure that future generations don’t have to keep dealing with this bullshit.

Help people when & where you can. Take action in your own community. Donate. Protest. Advocate. Educate. We only fix this shit show by sticking together. History has its eyes on us.
